Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015

2014 is about to draw to a close and as with the previous years, this one was filled with ups and downs. I know it sounds like I'm repeating myself; it's a bad habit of mine, one I should work on in 2015.

Despite the troubles, a lot of positive spots lit up 2014.

  • I wrote volume 6 in the Westmore series.
  • I met a bunch of new authors.
  • I read a lot of good books and added to my TBR pile.
  • I began hosting authors on my blog.

With the New Year fast approaching, I have a list of goals for 2015. Unlike the previous years where I gave up on them, I plan to follow through with my goals. Here's a few of the plans I have in store.

  • Publish volume 6 of Westmore.
  • Complete all my unfinished stories.
  • Get active in promotion.

Here's to 2015, and to everyone, I wish you happiness and success in the New Year.

So Long 2013, Hello 2014

The New Year is just about here and like many people I've been reflecting on how my year went.

2013 was another tough year for me personally. I’ve had to deal with more family problems; even though it’s been an emotional rollercoaster I’ve kept my head up and remained positive. Heading into 2014, I’m hoping things will finally turn around for the better for my family.

While my personal life wasn’t so great, my professional life flourished.

I released the fourth volume in the Westmore series and I got started on volume 5, which I hope to release soon. I also got the rights to my first book Going Home Again back and re-released it through self-publishing.

Now that 2014 is coming, I’ve got a list of writing goals I hope to accomplish.

• Release Westmore volume 5
At the moment I'm aiming for a March date, although it is subject to change.

• Finish my paranormal romance novel.
I've been working on it for a while, but with my other books it got neglected. This year I want to concentrate on it and finally release it.

• Start Westmore volume 6
That's right there's going to be a sixth volume and I hope everybody's ready for more drama.

• Offer Guest Posts and Author Interviews
This is something I've wanted to do for a long time, but with work and other things I haven't had the time. But I do want to help out fellow authors and for anyone interested stay tuned for more information.

2013 Goals

Well, the New Year has begun and like many people I made a list of resolutions. In the past, I had a bad habit of breaking my resolutions, but then again who hasn't. In recent years, I've been pretty good about keeping my promises and this year I have another list of things to accomplish. Without further ado, here are my resolutions for 2013

Release 3 of my books this year

I'm in the process of editing and on the verge of publishing volume 4 of Westmore (look for it around February or March). Plus, I've gotten a head start on volume 5, which I would also love to publish in 2013 and I'm working on a paranormal romance novel. Without any distractions I think I can complete my goal.

Concentrate more on promotion

In the past, I've been lazy with book promotion and it didn't go so well. Last year I began doing more promotion, garnered a couple of reviews and interviews, and my book sales increased . This year I'm going to focus more on book promotion and hope the sales continue to grow.

Get organized

My house is filled with clutter and every year I say I'm going to clean up, but between work and writing I haven't had much time. This year I'm finally going to achieve this goal and declutter my home.

Wish me luck as I set out on completing my goals.

    Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013

In a couple of hours everyone across the world will be saying Goodbye to 2012 and ringing in the New Year. I for one am looking forward to 2013 and what it has in store for me.

2012 was kind of an up and down year for me; professionally it was great, personally not so much.

I released my fourth book Westmore: Broken Ties and saw an increase in sales, plus I started working on volume 4 in the Westmore series. I also meet a bunch of wonderful authors, who I’m proud to call my friends.

While I thrived professionally, I can’t say the same for my personal life. Throughout the year I’ve dealt with a ton of drama and family fighting, I won’t go into too much detail but it took a toll on me. Although I’m glad to report that things are better now.

Now that 2012’s in the past it’s time to concentrate on 2013 and the future. Hopefully, it’ll be a good year for everyone.
