2015 Year in Review

My friends, 2015 is almost finished. I know it’s hard to believe, time really has flown by.

In a few hours, we’ll be saying goodbye to 2015 and ringing in 2016.

As I do every year, I decided to do a recap of everything that happened. Of course, I had my good moments and my bad. But as part of my New Year’s resolution, I’m going to focus on the positive. In this post I’m going to reflect on all the positive moments of 2015.

Here’s a look at how my 2015 went:

1. In January, I hosted my first takeover at an online book party for Lilian Jade. I was nervous at first, but everyone made me feel welcome and my takeover went well. Since then I’ve hosted more takeovers at various parties along with making friends with lots of authors and readers.

2. In March, I released Westmore: New Beginnings, the sixth volume in the Westmore series. Out of all the volumes, I loved writing this one because the characters are at turning points in their lives and there's a lot of exciting stuff in store for them.

3. I also began writing volume seven, which is called Westmore: Second Chances. I was planning to release it this year, but some other stuff come up and had to put it away for the time being. But don’t worry, Westmore: Second Chances will be published in 2016.

3. I got a new book cover for Going Home Again, which was designed by one of my friends and fellow author Angela Fattig. Please be sure to check out her website and learn more about her and her books.

4. One of my goals last year was to host authors on my blog and I’m happy to report I kept my promise. This year I hosted a bunch of cover reveals, participated in blog tours, and conducted author interviews. I don’t plan to slow down in the coming year and for any authors who are interested, I’ll have a submissions page posted soon.

5. I got a new author logo, courtesy of All Authors Graphics Design. The logo represents romance, drama, and my Southern roots.

6. I added a new job role to my resume; I became executive assistant to All Authors. Together with the Founder and Vice President, I help keep things running behind the scenes. Everyone at All Authors has made me feel like part of the family and in 2016, one of my goals is to help them succeed.

Overall, 2015 was a pretty good year for me, and I hope 2016 will be an even better year.
